Our partners gathered in January for the annual partner retreat at the Ritz Carlton in Rancho Mirage, to collaborate on strategies and set the course for the firm’s continued success.
New York: Pasta Making and Happy Hours
In the spring, the DTO NY office got together to learn one of the more important skills in life--how to make pasta! It was a great bonding event that led to an even better result, namely the consumption of delicious food.
And, throughout the year, colleagues got together to enjoy good drinks and good dinners, particularly when their California colleagues were in town.

This year's guest lecturer focused on the power of communication and taught us skills to help us become better communicators--in the courtroom, in the boardroom, and in the rooms we share with each other.

Of course, the retreat had to include some levity (and friendly competition). Our attorneys divided into three groups and scoured the city in search of unique items to photograph. Sometimes, we even jumped into the frame.

But no retreat would be complete without time to just hang out, whether on a boat ("I'm on a Boat!"), by the beach, or at an amazing dinner.

During our holiday party, we were treated to some fantastic drinks, great food, a hilarious guessing game ("Who does AI think is your celebrity doppelganger?"), and a white elephant gift exchange hosted by two of DTO's funniest.
We also learned some of us have better "funny faces" than others.
